Operating Principles
Empowerment
Sharing advice is easy; real value is created when firms adopt scalable processes and check-point mechanisms that measure progress. Fundamental believes successful engagements go beyond a “here’s what to do next” presentation, and make a commitment to ensuring their client’s adoption of new business practices.ï‚·
Deep Integration with client teams
Fundamental believes successful delivery is possible only when we work alongside client teams to deeply understand the organization, the business challenge, and status quo beliefs. Our work is a reflection of what we learn from the stakeholders who are closest to the truth.ï‚·
Honesty
Fundamental believes in sharing insights, knowledge, and recommendations even when they go against a working theory or organizational belief. We go beyond sharing what we think the client wants to hear, and seek to present a comprehensive viewpoint that will lead to better decision making.ï‚·
Anticipate the unknowns
Fundamental believes in holistically analyzing a client’s needs and devising recommendations and implementation approaches that not only solve for the immediate challenges, but also acknowledging additional areas of exploration.ï‚·
Quality thought over fancy delivery
Fundamental believes its client’s greatest ROI is achieved by spending time together understanding the client’s challenges and devising go-forward plans; not building elaborate presentation decks. We communicate effectively and completely, but bias our time toward problem-solving with our clients.
